Art Therapy for Adults Limerick

Life can get complicated

Sometimes things build up quietly over time. Other times, something happens and the ground shifts beneath you. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to keep carrying it alone. Art therapy offers a space that's entirely yours, somewhere to slow down, to breathe, and to begin making sense of what you're going through.

Why Art Therapy Works for Adults

Many adults arrive at art therapy having already tried to talk their way through something. And talking is valuable. But sometimes it isn't quite enough. The creative process reaches places that conversation alone can struggle to access, particularly when feelings are buried deep, or when putting something into words feels impossibly hard.

This isn't about making art. It's about using the act of making as a way to explore your inner world, gently and at your own pace.

What I Can Help With

Adults come to art therapy in Limerick for all kinds of reasons, including anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm and low self-esteem. I also work with people navigating significant life transitions, relationship difficulties, bereavement, depression and general mental health challenges.

Creative therapy for anxiety and the weight of difficult life experiences is something I feel deeply committed to. If you've been struggling to find the right support, or if more traditional approaches haven't quite felt like the right fit, art therapy might be worth exploring.

How Sessions Work

Individual sessions last one hour and are offered in eight-week blocks, at the same time, on the same day, in the same studio space each week. That consistency creates a reliable, settled rhythm that allows the real work to happen.

Depending on what feels right for you, sessions can be directive, where we work around a particular theme or prompt, or non-directive, where you have the freedom to choose how to use the time and the materials. A full range of art materials is available at the studio, including drawing, painting, collage and sculpture. No experience necessary.

You don't have to have it all figured out

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. Many people come simply with a sense that something needs to shift. That's enough. We'll find our way from there together. If you're curious about art therapy for adults in Limerick, the first step is just a conversation.
